Thank you Betty. . .
She’s using a lot of vibrato on this song compared to any of her other songs. (Unless the record was warped/damaged?)
My kids just painted our room ‘blue’ while we were gone on vacation. What a pleasant surprise. 50 years together and now I have The Blue Room! ❤
WONDERFUL!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! IT IS GREAT TO HEAR THIS VERSION!!!!!
Lucille Ball said this was exactly how she felt about Desi when she first met him in Too Many Girls, the movie this was in
One hardly knows where to begin, what to say. Yet, something must be expressed! In Italian, there is an opera term called “legato.” It means the words, the notes are “tied” together. Perhaps, “seamless” would be a better translation. Anyway, that’s what the divine Ella does here! Then, intuitively, she sings all the vowels so beautifully. It’s beyond description. Please forgive my babbling. We can only be thankful that we are alive to appreciate this masterpiece of singing, of human expression. Thank you, dearest Ella! Our lives are blessed by your artistry!

Greatest Female Vocalist!
No female can sing like Ella! That is saying a lot since there are many very good female singers. Ella was Great!
Beyond joyous.
p.s. Ella was the consummate jazz singer.
Ella is utterly timeless. Never fails to enchant me. Saw her perform with Count Basie and his orchestra in Glasgow some time back in the 70's. What a dynamic combination. 😊
We miss you Ella !
Anybody has lyrics??

What is the song bro
One of my all-time favourites. Ella’s rendition is, of course, impeccable, but let’s not also forget the gorgeous arrangement.
Love this song. Dean Martin has ALWAYS been one of my favorite singers. Since boyhood, even. In the 60s.
My favorite Dean Martin SONGS, I have two: 1)Arrivaderci Roma, and, 2)Memories are made of This.
Well I came here from the black dahlia. Apparently gaga is singing this too
Matrix brought me here
The only good scene in the Cary Grant/ Cole Porter bio was when Cary sang this song.

Rev. Al Sharpton was just on MSNBC talking about how Agent Orange attended the National Action Network Convention in 2001 in Harlem. He said he would be happy to moderate a debate in Harlem between Agent Orange and President Biden, as he knows Agent Orange knows how to get to Harlem. I said “I know how to get to Harlem! Take the “A” Train!
The best version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of singers do this song and others from the thirties and forties well, but for me, Ella's versions are always the best and most definitive.
We'll have a blue room A new room for two room Where every day's a holiday Because you're married to me. Not like a ballroom A small room, a hall room Where I can smoke my pipe away With your wee head upon my knee. We will thrive on, keep alive on Just nothing but kisses With mister and missus On little blue chairs. You sew your trousseau And Robinson Crusoe Is not so far from worldly cares As our blue room far away upstairs!
Magnifica!
Amazing.....and I luv it❤
Absolutely top class! Superb vocals and arrangement!
